Daddy had a pretty good night. His sugar level was pretty high (300 @ 2:00 a.m. & 230 @ 4:00 a.m.) so they are going to put him on two different types of insulin, his regular insulin and then a longer lasting insulin. His B/P is also elevated, which is to be expected with the amount of pain he is in, but it's getting a little too high so they are starting him on a blood pressure medication.

The Doctor was pleased with his progress and said that they will try to get him up at least twice today, which is going to be very hard on him. They are still talking about putting a central line in to aid with giving him all the medications. Swelling will get worse today and tomorrow, but that is normal.

Thank you for all the prayers and for posting the comments. It's been a great comfort to Mom & the rest of the family to have your prayers and support.
