Daddy is on the 10th floor in room 1077. The family is in the 10 Mountain waiting room (981-2930).
He is in a lot of pain and the Doctor doesn't want to give him a bunch of pain meds. because he was wanting Dad to get more awake from the anesthesia. The Doctor said that the pain meds. would slow his breathing and it was already low. It's between 7 & 8 breaths a minute and they want to see it over 12 per minute. If his respirations do not improve they will put him on a ventilator to help him breathe.
The incision starts in the middle of his lip/chin and extends down his chin and around to his ear and then down the side of his neck. He also has a large incision across his chest where they pulled the muscle up. He has a lot of stitches, staples and drainage tubes.

Praise the Lord!!!! We will be praying for a speedy recovery. Tell him I said to get his hand signs in good order, he needs to keep trying to teach me some things. I might just bring him a chaulk board. Tell Doris to call if she or yall need anything. David Layman 314-6242
