Daddy is still in critical condition. The bleeding from his chest incision is still not slowing down, so the Doctors are stopping his heparin for a couple of days to allow this area to heal. Then they will start the heparin again. It is a possibility that this will cause him to throw more clots, but the chest incision is not going to heal if they don't do this.
A wound specialist is supposed to be hear in the morning to evaluate the open incision area on his neck that is not healing.
Daddy has become more agitated and is frustrated by his limitations and the limitations the Doctors' have put on him.
There is no change in his breathing from the earlier post.
Thank you to everyone for your encouraging comments and prayers. Daddy (& Mom) needs them now more than ever.

I am so sorry to hear that the bleeding is not slowing down. I hope that stopping the heparin will help. Remember, we are all still praying for ALL of you!

Hollie,
Please tell Brother Leroy that Nancy and Doug Graham of Salem are praying for him. I will come to see him as soon as he is well enough to have visitors. Prayerfully and With Kind Regards...Doug Graham, Taylor Lodge #23
LeRoy, Doris and Family,
I am sorry I haven't posted a message before today, but Lisa and I have been following LeRoy's progress from Day 1. Things are rarely certain in the medical field but I know he is in very good hands, especially with Dr. Chen, whom I worked with in residency. I am keeping you all in my daily thoughts and prayers. It will be a VERY long road to recovery for LeRoy and you all must be patient and take things one day at a time, though I realize that is easier said than done. If there is anything I can do for any of you, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time. LeRoy is in good medical hands, and Doris do not forget you have a physician to take care of you as well.
Sincerely,
Scott C. Hippeard, M.D.

Hello from Bill and Sue again. We are anxiously keeping up with the blog.
So sorry the wounds are not healing and praying that stopping the heparin for a short while will not bring on any more clots.
Hope you will have an answer from the new doctor this a.m. on this. We saw Rusty Mann and his wife Nancy on Thur. night and told them about Roy.
He was shocked and so concerned. So much prayer coming your way. Just remember it is in the valleys of life that our souls grow towards the Lord. So know that you all are getting a big boost here though the human side of this nightmare is agony. Let us know if we can do anything. Love and Prayers. Ps. we both will be on the road next week, me in Hertford with mom for her 87th bd and Bill out working. I will check as soon as I get back in town.
You are All in our prayers daily with a long road to go but remember God doesn't give us more than we can handle & sometimes we think he overwhelms us. Just take it one day at at time & soon you'll be through everything.
God Bless, Laurie Ann
Prayers, loving thoughts and hopefully strength are with you daily - all of you!!!!!
Claudia
