On a level headed man,
tobacco juice runs out
both sides of his mouth
I guess he thinks he's not level headed since it's only coming out of one side of his neck.
The bleeding has slowed some from the chest incision today, but Dad has been in more pain. He's been more restless and even though the bleeding has slowed his chest is really hurting him and he has been concerned about the weakness he has in his left arm. We try to reassure him that it's just going to take time to get strength back in that arm.
His oxygen level has been lowered to 45% on the Bi-vent and his blood O2 stats have been staying in the 94 - 96 range. Hopefully this is a sign that the blood clots are dissipating. Dad is on a continuous drip insulin and a continuous drip feeding tube. This has leveled out his blood sugar so far.
Again the family would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for their kindness during this very difficult time and for all the prayers. It really means a lot to all of us.

We pray for you daily everyone! So glad to hear that your father is showing his sense of humor...That's one of the best medicines!
So glad that you've put this blog on as I know that you all are so heavily involved in the care of your dad and without my bothering phone calls, I can see his updates. Wish this was available with my mother!
Take care all and if there is anything that Ralph and I can do please do not hesitate to call!!!!
May the Good Lord lift you all up and know that your dad is in His care!
"Be still and know that I am God" Always know that in your darkest hour or your lightest day, HE is in control. Everything evolves according to HIS will! ... A love like non other!
Love,
Susan
We are also praying daily for his speedy recovery and rest for the family.

Brother Leroy,
With every day that passes, you are that much closer to getting home and a full recovery. The Good Lord, the Great Physician, is in control! Can't wait to see you back riding the running boards of the firetrucks and busting skeet up at the range. Let me know if you need anything.
Brother Mike Dowdy
