Daddy is still at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and according to the Doctors he will be here for several more days until they can get his medications straightened out and pain under control. Several Doctors are looking at all his medications to see what they can take away or decrease. As for the pain they have him on two different types of morphine (one a pill and one an injection), plus his pain patch and then another pain medication. I'm not sure why they are giving him IV morphine. They are supposed to be adjusting his pain meds to what he'll have at home and I know they aren't going to allow us to give him IV meds at home, so I don't understand the pain med approach this Doctor is taking. However I will be asking him tomorrow morning.
Carilion Transport did come and take Daddy over to the Cancer Center this afternoon and he had another CT Scan and mask made for his Cyber Knife treatment. Dr. Heath said he hoped to get started with Daddy's first treatment on Monday. Hopefully the Cyber Knife will help with the pain and if we're lucky it will get rid of as much cancer as possible in that area.
