The cavernous sinus is a small blood-filled space on either side of the base of the skull located behind the eyes. Each cavernous sinus contains the carotid artery, the nerves that go to the muscles that move the eye, and part of the nerve that provides sensation to the eye and face.
Mom, me, Debbie, Larry & Christy sat down with Daddy this afternoon to tell him what UVA said. We did NOT go into great detail with him as to where the cancer is or the extent.
The Doctor strongly suggested that we call in Hospice and get them on board to help manage Daddy's pain. Dr. Heath was making the referral today.
