Daddy had a fairly good night last night. They have gradually decreased the amount of oxygen from 100% now down to 40%. His blood oxygen level is staying around 97 with only 40% so that is very good. He does seem to be a little more uncomfortable this morning and he wrote that he couldn't breath freely. The doctor said that the goal today was to get him up and moving which should help keep the fluid out of his lungs. The Respiratory Therapist is supposed to evaluate him this morning to see about unhooking the CPAP machine for today. Even if they unhook it during the day he will still be put back on it at night. His sugar is staring to come back down and so far today his blood pressure seems to be under control. He still has a very long ways to go and the doctor said he will keep Daddy in the ICU until the middle of the week provided he doesn't have any other setbacks.
